    DM600 Web X TV - VLC issues

    Guys

Up to recently i have been able to stream TV from my dm600c to my laptops without any issues. However it suddenly stopped, I have just installed the latest VLC player and I can now view TV again but its a not a clean stream and keeps on freezing. To make it worse, when i try and playback movies from the dm internal hdd it no longer plays back via VLC and instead tries to playback via windows media player (which obviously does not work).

Any ideas on what i can change? I took down my firewall but this made no difference on the TV issue and i cannot find which file asscociation i need to change to get the movies to come back to VLC...

On your pc select the file you want to play and then right click and select 'open with' to pick the program you want to use to play the movie. If you cant see it in the list than browse the program file until you find the VLC program and tick the box to 'use this program as default'.

On your Internet Explorer do Tools > Internet > Advanced > Restore defaults. Try what I suggested in the previous post and than try playing your movies through vlc and web-x.
