DM500 connection probs pls help

hi guys iv got a 500t wit dk image on it, but im having connection probs,i need to puy keys on via flash fxp, im tryin to connect from pc straight to box, ive made all the changes i can think of but still cant connect. has any1 else had this prob and how do u sort it i feel like

pc wit xp pro
db ip 192.168.0.24
i even changed pc ip several times and used 4 different cables so i know its not cable ???????

what ever the ip address of the pc is change the dreamboxs last number to one higher than the pc
make sure the subnet is the same on both pc and dreambox
if using a gateway/router make sure that ip adress is in the dreambox settings

wil try higher ip tonite but i think i did this already
subnet is the same so im stumped

hi westkill, ive got the right cable dreambox ip is 192.168.0.24 pc ip is 192.168.0.23 ive firewall off, in network connections my local area conn says not conn but wen i switch on dreambox it changes to connected ??? in flashfxp ive conn details set but i keep gettin connection failed. i even tried running in compatibility mode for win 98. open to any suggestion guys if i dont get this sorted soon there could be a dreambox in orbit over europe

and port 21
is the network card active

yea all ok in the tcp/ip do i put anything in gateway or dns server, just tried flashwiz pro and filezilla and no good so must be pc i think,

try dcc>dreambox control centre in the downloads
that has a ftp programe in it

Are you sure it is a crossover cable and not a standard Network cable (RJ45)
They both look the same to start with?

If the colour coded wires on both ends look exactly the same then its a standard cable
