help to fix dream box fault

i have a db 500c to have a look at,i connected the tv to dbox via scart, turned it on,got green light came on but nothing on the tv blue screen

hit the standby button on remote but doesnt go to red,but a quick flash to a black screen when hit any button on the remote even when you hit standby button on box it stays green

this is my m8s if he has flashed this wrong would this have an effect on not getting any set up screen

You might be using the wrong image. Or the remote control is faulty.
