If importing from China ONLY use EMS as the courier. Then no import taxs or duty 99% of the time.
If you use DHL then your hit about 80% of the time with import/duty taxs.
Also some suppliers will underprices the customs paperwork for you such as dvbseller.com so even if you are charged taxs/duty its only on a $15 amount or something.
