    DM500 Cannot recieve TV channels

    Hi
I am hoping some of you guys can help me, I have installed a dm500, I have scanned and lock in the TV channels but when I try to view them, nothing shows up on the screen, yet when I flick through the radio stations, I can hear them all, Is there something else I need to do in order to get my tv channels?

should be fine, have you tried others before now (e.g. 2.13 or 2.17) to see if they make any difference. Just wanting to see what you have tried so far as we don't wanna be wasting you time telling you to do things that you have already done... I use 2.12 but some guys use others..

I have my dm hooked up to my router as this allows me to go into the setup and download other cams from the server and control my box remotely from the net or a lappy anywhere in the house.

On your remote control select 'menu' then from the 'mainmenu' window choose 'information'. In the 'info' window choose 'About'.. In there you will see your software version...

don`t know if you have fixed your problem yet but if not,
most images are fta these days,
you have to upload the the rom files to make it work,
if you have not done this then there is a nice little ftp utility called simple proggie in the download section that should be of great help,
let us know how you are getting on.

I checked to see what image I have on my box, when I got to where it shows the software info it stated:

                    software version:
                    release v.1.1 20.08.2008

It looks like it doesn't read the image on the box, do you think that I need to flash an image onto the box, an if so, how do I do this?
