Dreambox DM900-C suddenly cannot view channels

A few weeks back my Dreambox DM900-C suddenly cannot view all the channels except those Free-to-air channels.

But my friend have the same set and card as me have no problems. So i borrow her card and stick into my machine, but still cannot.

The only difference is that i had master reset my set last time during the World Cup 2010 but she did not. After the master reset i got all the channels back by keying in the f8 ffff and the 00 and 01 keys. Everything was okay until few weeks back. then suddenly cannot view all the channels.

I don't understand why her card and box is working when my card and box cannot see even when we have the same one.

My dealer is no help and very unfriendly. Tell me to buy a new machine. WTF!

Anyone knows how to use the remote to go the part where u can enter key01 and key00. I've tried entering the keys @ Menu > Hold Blue Button > Command 00... but doesn't work...

For your reading. Today there found another patch of Virgin cards that expired. There is no new key change. Solution is to get new card and box firmware updated.

How come until now you guys still don't learn from the previous lesson?

My advice previously already said, do not get set that come with Aucard (i.e: DM900C-II). These Aucards have been preset with timebomb or expiry date. Once expired, all channel except FTA will be black screen.

Your agent will always say not expiry to new aucard but these are their only rice bowl if your set do not spoil. These Aucards are usually peset with 3, 6, 9 or 12 months validity. Imagine you need to get a new aucard every 3 months at $30-35, you will be paying about $120-140 annually.

FYI, there have not been any key change lately. If your set fail on you, it is the Aucard problem therefore need not ask for new keys here. You should be looking for your agent for card replacement or buy a new box.

about the dm 900 cII

well if dm900cII is giving us problems. Is it better to for go the dm 900cii and purchase the dm800?
