DM500 How To Connect A Send Socket

I,am trying to download and flash my Dreambox 500s , But everytime i try to do this the warning message appears ( error 10057 in function send socket is not connected ) How do you connect a send socket , I have tried both null
modem and ethernet cable without a router connected directly between the
Dreambox and the computer, The software that i,am using is Dreambox tools
V4.0 DCC, Please help me if you can.

Do you have an image on the box already?

If so you need to find the ip off your box in network settings and use the router to connect through ethernet.

Dreamup should not have any problems provinding you are using a null modem cable.

Just make sure you untick use network when you are using the null modem. If you still cant connect to the box there may be more than one com port so just select another one.

Have a look and read of the relevant Stickies in red at the top of the forum, both connection/flash methods are in there. Failing that try the Newbies guide in the downloads section

No good i already have tried that , As far as i can see nobody knows anything

He has no image on the box plus this would not be an issue when using a null moddem cable m8

Your first post says your using dreambox tools version 4, you have been told or asked to use Dreamup and a Null modem Cable. This is the ONLY way you will flash an empty box unless its a dead or faulty one, has it ever worked before or had an image on it?

Yes,
When i first bought the Dreambox new i was able to load on and view
the astra satellite , But the very next day the box was as dead as a dodo the
only thing showing was the green power standby led light on the front of the box.

Download Dreamup.

then use that with your null modem cable, make sure your box is switched off, open dream up, switch box on. Set to com1 in dreamup.

Well if you can't connect with Dreamup (have you tried it yet ???????????????)and cable looks like a you'll be needing an early xmas pressy.

You Probably Need to use DreamUP_1_3_2_1 for Clone Dreambox 500s as there can be an issue using the standard software try using this before you fill your christmas sock with a Null Modem Cable, I liked that one Jbvid

I downloaded the files okay, Which box do i click to install for the Dreambox 500s as its all in German, Could you please take me step by step.
