Dreambox 8000 and DVD Install

I have bought a DM 8000 with 500 GB HD and
a Sony DVD Player/Burner
I installed Nabilo Black Hole and everything is working well
apart from the DVD drive which is not being recognised.
It does play a DVDs but not always and will not burn. I get crash logs on a regular basis.
Has anyone any ideas how I can install it correctly or must I start again from scratch with the original Image.

I had a problem with the DVD not been recognised a lot of the time. I solved the problem by replacing the SATA/USB adapter. DM kindly sent me one from Germany free of charge.
