how to manualy update my dreambox

hey guys. . ive been told i have to manualy update my keys

im using the dk1.1 image

ive got evocamd on .

so the auto update doesnt seem to be working

can someone explain to me how i manualy update my keys

ive read on here from anotehr v.i.p member that we mgiht have to wait for firmware which could take a whiel ??

if u can ftp to your box this is how

The format of the keys files are....

If you are using evocamd, you need to edit the keylist.txt file.
If you are using mgcamd, you need to edit the SoftCam.key file.
If you are using gbox, you need to edit the nagra file.

All these files are in /var/keys.

Inside the key file, the format should be as follows...

ex-tw

N 5A01 00 1234567890ABCDEF ;
N 5A01 01 1234567890ABCDEF ;

ex-ntl

N 5401 00 1234567890ABCDEF ;
N 5401 00 1234567890ABCDEF ;

ex-c&w

N 5C01 00 1234567890ABCDEF ;
N 5C01 00 1234567890ABCDEF ;

Replace the 1234567890ABCDEF with the actual keys.

u need to turn off the au (autoupdate ) and l cant remember that bit till l get home

Digital Kaos image is already set to only update the keys if the current keys are wrong so you won't need to change that.

smirnoff I've just done my 600c with the latest keys from keymaster..use dcc then the ftp proggie var/keys/keylist.txt right click edit change the keys then save..thats it m8.
