    Same Keys for DM 500C and Dbox2?

    Hi,

    I have both a Dbox2 and a Dreambox 500C. The Dbox2 is working with no problems but I can only see FTA channels on the 500C. I have used FTP to copy the Dbox Keys Directory (with new keys) to the 500C - but can still not view any encrypted channels. I have tried retarting Cam & box with no success.

    Are the keys different for each box? Any help would be appreciated.

    (Running Digital Kaos 1.1 on 500C)

      Yes keys will be the same for both BUT they may use different camds.

      DM500 with DK will probably use evocamd, so edit the keylist and not softcam
      DBox may use mgcam so the softcam needs altered.

          Thanks.

          I am using evocam on both boxes. I have edited the keylist.txt file with the new codes - but still no success.

          Any other ideas?

              No idea m8 cos evocamd hardly ever worked for me so I use mgcamd.

              Is the keys folder on dm and dbox exactly the same, I thought dm used a different evocamd version, but thats a guess cos I dont use it. Did you copy the whole keys folder over or just the keylist ???.

                  I copied the whole keys folder. I'll keep trying - thanks for your help.

                  Could someone who is using the DK 1.1 image post a 'directory listing' of the keys directory (not the keys themselves) - not sure if this is allowed??

                          i have both box's evocamd is the emu - changed it on my DM then copied it over to my DBox - no problems

                          also check the cam_cfg file and make sure the AU is set to 2
