***Guide to using Tuxbox commander with pictures***

I found this on the net so its not my work and credit to whoever it was that did it.

How to update a Dreambox 500's Keys manually!

Start by pressing the Yellow key on your remote,
if you have an earlier version, start by pressing the Bluekey on your remote!

    For Dbox press blue

From the menu that appears, select the Tuxbox commander choice!

You should now see something similar to the following screen!!!
Now move the highlighted piece until you have got "var" highlighted and press select!

You should now see the following screen!
Now move the highlighting until you have "keys" selected and press select!

Now move the highlighting on to "Keylist.txt" as in the picture, but do not press select,
instead press the number 4 once you have "Keylist.txt" highlighted!

The file should now open for editing!!!
This can look a bit overwhelming, but just relax and look at it!
We will be looking for 2 lines of codes in this file, the latest keys for 00 and 01,
we will be comparing these to the latest keys and changin if necessary!

so, looking to the middle row you will see the rom codes listed,
look down these until you see if it is code 00 or 01 (dont worry about image saying rom 7 as thats just an example)

Press select and use left and right, and the number pad on the remote and edit
the code to the correct codes, then press select again to save it!

Press exit, it will ask you to save, select yes and press select!

Press exit to exit tuxbox commander, it will also ask you to save, select yes here as well.

Press exit once more, it will take you back to a blank screen!

Now, at this stage you can either unplug your box and plug it in again to enable the new keys, Reboot if you are using a dbox,
or for dm500 you can press the blue key, select the DM500 menu, emu options and then press select
on the emu to restart it, this will force the box in to using the new keys! On 2.0 the emulator
is the first thing you see when you press the blue key, so pressing select after the blue key
on 2.0 will restart the emulator!
    Enjoy!

The dm500 menu is on the dreambox, if you are using a dbox just reboot the box after following the above steps.

                    Auto update is only a problem if set to {01}

to check go through the same process above until you get to keys (3rd image down) but instead of highlighting keylist, highlight camd_cfg and press 4, then go down to where it says.

                    #AU

check the part at bottom which says

{02} if not o2 then put 02 in.
