DM500C Easy Manual Key Input !!

Firstly i would suggest you install the DK1.1 image as Devilfish as made it very easy to manually change keys with the DreamBox Key Editor Addon, This can be download directly from the DM500C if connected through a router.

Once you have installed the DK1.1 image do a Transponder Scan for your area should only take a few minutes,

Once the Transponder Scan is done, you need to add the plugin available on your DM500C via the DK1.1 image, Now press the Yellow Button and you will see Kaos Panel, select 2 Manager Suite, select Addon Manager then select Server DK Addons, then select Plugins,(Router Required) then select Dreambox Key Editor and press Blue button this will now install the Dreambox Key Editor..

Now restart enigma by going to Menu, Shutdown, select Restart Enigma
Once Enigma has been restarted click on the Blue Button and select
Dreambox Key Editor.
Now you need to simply add the Key information aquired from the Keymaster update into the 2 input boxes.
You will need your Provider Codes ie. 5A 01 TW ? 5C 01 C&W ? 54 01 Pure NTL ? 5E 01 Ireland NTL ? 5F 01 Chorus Ireland.
This example is for TW

Once the provider ID and Keys have been correctly installed, press update..,Go to sky sports 1 and then press and hold the info button for a few seconds, EMU page will open, select evocamd2.13 and wait for it to start.
Channels should return within seconds.
Hope this helps people who are not familier with inputting keys into the DM500C

yeah good post dev couldnt make it any easier for us its like hes in all our homes sorting us out that how easy he is tryin 2 make the cable scene for us 2 understand

Hi Pleased you got it sorted m8, We got there in the end....

Devilfish has simplified the whole process now with Dreambox Key Editor Addon, Which i am sure will make it much much easier than having to do it via the tuxbox commander.

I just want to say Thank You for Devilfish for what has to be the most User friendly and approachable forum in the UK.

Try reading the stickies at the top of the page first they have all the info.

But to get you started.

press blue button>add ons>download from gemini.
download evocamd & mgcamd.

then you need to get the latest fixes try google thechatterbox.

Tried the dreambox editor as I can't get the autoupdate to work.

Am using digital worldz v 2.1 image and it has the dreambox editor plugin. Got correct keys for my area from chatterbox keymaster and uploaded to the box.

(I could only get letters to go in in lower case - does this matter?) Succesfully updated the keys folder as I checked via tuffbox. Keys are there but still can't get channels. I tried rebooting box, and restating enigma from the shutdown menu.

Went back to slysport1 - no picture. Tried holding info down - but no joy - just tells me what the program is that I ca't get a picture for. Feel like i'm really close to getting the dreambox back up and running after ages out. What am I doing wrong?

Did you get your box set up yet?

You need to have the latest keys & roms folders loaded also install a cam or 2. then PM me your email.
