Auto ftp key updates

This is the first time I have had to do any kind of flash or update on one of these boxes and after a a couple of hours research I went on to the number 1 slot on the wifes list.

Using the auto ftp key updater I connected my box via the router (ethernet cable). With the box powered up and hooked up to the tv as well, I went into the advanced setup and checked that the communications was set to use DHCP. Once that was saved I made a note of the IP address it was assigned.
When you run the key updater it gets all the keys but I only used the PURE keys. When you have the latest keys you write them to a text file by clicking the button. At the bottom of the generator is the details for your ftp. The default is User: root Pasword:dreambox then put in the IP of the box.
If all goes well you will get a confirmation box telling you to reboot.
It took 6 attempts before I got the OK. I messed with settings like auto connect to cahandler and such.
This method has now done 3 VM boxes.

The noob that i am i must have messed something up i my attempt to get the channels back. So i decided to reflash my dreambox with dk1.1, brute force scan, upload the keys and scce directories from dreambox_stuff, enter the new keys from keymaster and presto, all channels are back again
