    grabbing cable from virgin broadband?

    hi
there are some threads on this but they are all quite old.
i live in london and have virgin broadband.
i just bought a dreambox. i am not so much interested in the pay channels but just to use the box in general. the problem is that our cable in the wall just feeds dvb -t which the dreambox cant decode.
as i do have a broadband and telephone line from virgin and read that people said that the broadband line does carry the cable signal as well i thought that this might be a possible solution.
i already connected the cable coming out of the white virginbox (which then runs into the cabe modem) instead to the modem to my dreambox but couldnt find any programs. they definitely do offer cable here as they call me every second day to ask if i dont want to have cable.
does anyone know how to make this happen or if it is possible in general?
    thanks for the help!

I think it is possible to do it as my feed into the house is one line in and a 2way splitter, one into modem and other into back of virmin box{cablebox}......so i guess you can just do the same

      thanks for the answer.
in my flat i have a white cable coming out of the wall going in a white flat virgin branded box from which a coax cable goes into the modem. is the splitter in your flat before or after the white box?

          thanks.
i tried connecting the cable that comes out of the box to my db but didnt find any channels when searching (not even scrambled ones). but it also might have been a problem as the plug and the wire were just twiddled together wtihout any proper soldering.
did any of you manage to watch virgin?
