whats IP address of your computer

I assume the computer and dreambox are both connected to some kind of router/switch/hub

hi there..forgive me but its been a while. I did this back in april, managed to connect and sort everything, saved the instructions as a text doc, and had a virus which wiped out everything, so i cannot remember what i did before.

ok, im not connected through a router, just a direct crossover cable through the coms port. as for the IP address of my PC, how do i get that again?

      cheers

you will need a network cable to connect to the box via FTP to transfer file

the com port is for null modem cable. As said above, you need a crossover ethernet cable to connect to the ethernet connection in dreambox and ethernet connection in PC.
