dreambox 500

Hey,
I have a dreambox 500 here, this is a mates so i have never came across these before. i said ill have a look at it for him as i have done my dbox2.

I have plugged it in the same as the dbox i have, i have rescanned all the channels with brute force. I could see that it had found some of the channels to.
I then copied the fix other.

It has not worked and it also does no show me the FTA channels.

Any advice would be grateful

Did you delete the rom10 and rom11 files.

strange that you are not getting any FTA channels either as even if the keys were wrong or the cam wasnt running you'd still get FTA

do you know what image is loaded onto it at the moment? and do you have files in the /var/scce and /var/keys folder apart from the fix that you've copied over?

yes mate there are plenty of files in there, an i think this is enigma image.

Yes m8, sorry I should have phrased it better when I said rom10 and 11, I meant all them.

I have removed all of the ones with 10 and 11 in and still no luck.
How many file should be in the scce folder and the keys folder

Its doing my head in that i can views FTA channels.

Do i not need a service file or summat

no i cannot see any fta channels mate, but i it picks channels up when it scans

I restarted box but no i didnt restart emus as i didnt know how.

I got told u had to hold the info button for 2 secs but that didnt work
