DM500 Dreambox images?

Hello,
I just bought a new dreambox 500c. It has open source linux but no image in it. The seller advised me to flash the box with the commando image, but i think that image is for Could some please advise me on which UK image to flash on the box and where to download the image? NAy help will be most useful.

I use this image on mine and i have no problems with it
Digital Kaos - Downloads - Digital Kaos v1.1 Image for Dm500 C/S/T

Get yourself a null modem cable and dreamup then you can flash it.
Hope it helps you.

Do not put commando on it. On the front of the box, does it have a dream logo?

Put the Digital Kaos or DW image on it instead.

Commando images are for DBOX1 and DBOX2 I believe.

typical seller aint got a clue what to do - box shifters thats all they are and I bet with the current key roll change, when people who purchased said item from them will not even answer the phone.

I have a 500c with Neutrino UK and would fancy a change. Don`t suppose anyone knows where we could get some screenshots of the different images do they? If I had the the know how (and a spare box) I would do it. Saying that I could do with a spare box to play around with.... any suggestions as to what and where?

I bough mine from ebay but DVBSeller and dvbmonkey do as well.

Also want to know what do you guys think of the Black Linux box that is advertised on the Logout page of this forum. Its meant to be a replacement for Dreambox 500c

Commando is for Dbox2 (not Dbox1 or DM500).

There *could* be a chance it will appear on dm500 in the future.

But yep, go for DK image for your 500, it is very good.
