DM500 Problems streaming video on clones?

    Hi All,

I've recently purchased a clone 500c for upstairs.
I have an original 500c downstairs.

I backed up my original box and flashed it onto the new clone.
Everything works great except for my VLC Frontend plugin.

It plays the video for about 30 seconds then crashes! Even after re-installing the plugin I get the same problem.

I have tried the original box upstairs so I know all connections etc are OK.

Does anyone now if this is a common problem with clones?

Do cheaper parts make it more temperamental?

    Cheers in advance!!

I found that the streaming on a DM500 clone is equally as bad as an original.
The streaming on a DM600 rocks!!

    Real men have FTTH.

I concur, it seems to work once on both a clone and original then never works again, I sometimes wonder whether it is something to do with the port settings in terms of it will not release them after first use.

I was trying to get this working with a modded xbox and it was useless, yet other receivers e.g. Technomate worked a treat, pretty annoying really for something which I believe should be straight forward.
