    DM500 Dm500c Is still working

Some Time ago i got my m8 a dm500c, as you'll all know these boxes went off due to nag3, he gave the box to someone he knew and got it back working, any ideas how this is possible, I mean is it possible to convert these boxes to use through a server, I'm a bit sceptical as it's the first I've heard of it.

Yes it is being done, box must be connected to internet and
    server must be paid

Ask him does he need an internet connection in the back of the box.

Be wary before parting with cash. Ask server how long you will
have channels for your ?130. It may well be 12 months subs,
it may be 6 months. Best to know terms from the beginning.
The fact your mate knows the server all should be well

I'm Very weary, he dose'nt know how long will last that's my problem, I've got the same box but a fella I kinda know down the street said he can do it on satellite. The cost is 60 for the box and 150 a year, I don't know what box it is but it's for a full sub, what do you think is best cable or satellite and what servers are best to stay away from

The box he uses maybe Blade, or Technomate. They work fine.
Satellite c/s servers are better quality than cable servers.
At ?60 for box & ?150 annual sub it's good value, as you won't
have to pay any sub to sky. With cable server you still have to
pay basic TV package on top of server subs.
One drawback with satellite, you need a dish. They are not a
pretty sight. You should offer to pay server quarterly, so if
server goes down you won't lose too much

Why pay a server especially when it comes to the Sat side. Cardsharing is called cardsharing for a reason.

If going down the Sat CS route buy a card and through that "share" with others. There are quite a few threads here on the subject, however for CS related topics you may find Google to be your friend.

CS on cable is another story but is achievable with some work and reading. But as always traders will look to make a few quid from those that do not wish to do either.

Point taken, Satsmo, but many do not wish to be servers and
are quite happy as servants & would happily pay 150-200 per
annum for all channels. Any server is entitled to make money
within reason. Some servers quote fees which are way too
                  high.

People paying ?150 - 200 are off their head in my opinion. Especially when its paying for the whole year upfront.
Why dont you do some reading and share your card and make a fortune for yourself (and possibly get the jail!!)
Its not as hard as people make out with lots of false info being spread about by paople that dont know what they are talking about making aout its really difficult.

If this is going to turn into a payserver discussion it will be a short thread. Plus I am sure there may already be some in your neck of the woods Eamo so I am sure their trade is already catered for.

To what regard are you considering false info?

Not entirely false then if interpreted correctly from a logging perspective.

Are we allowed to discuss c/s or not? Seems we are when it suits you mate.

At no point will anyone interpret my answer as the definite method of CS on any form? Or was it false?

My answer was purely based on your reply and should be taken as such.

However saying CS on cable is held back based on people "that dont know what they are talking about" posting false information is far from the truth, so as a result that statement is false.

I have no problem with people posting the truth.

CS discussion is never a problem once contained within bounds, you can interpret what they are, I and the rest of the team will moderate after that.
