    Problem with Sly1

Using a dm500c. Ever since these new channels have been added, I cant get a decent picture for Sly1. The picture is very distorted, dark, and unwatchable. Whereas all the other channels like sly2, sly3..etc are fine.

Any ideas how to solve this?

have problems with ss1 and 3 in my area (crappy tuner). use a booster to pick up a few channels but conversely use a 6db attenuator when watching ss1 and it works flawlessly. mind you dont suffer from a dark picture - just freezes regularly.

using an attenuator will weaken the signal more

an attenuator does weaken the signal thats its purpose but too strong a signal affects a box just as much as a weak one. As I say shaz i dont suffer from a black screen but this "fix" works perfectly for me and many others in my area.

I have a dial on my booster, so can I not just try to turn the gain down?

Course you could mate or up - that would be the 1st thing I would do. I actually have to remove my booster and fit the 6db att to get a rock solid picture on ss1. Strange but true - but it affects quite a few folk.
