i have no image on my box

i have no image on my box at all its just a black screen when i switch it on and i cannot use dream up for the life of me is there any way i can get into the box to put an image on someone please help me.

On a DM500c,to get the box ip do the following.
Press menu button.Go to setup then expert setup in the list on screen.The next screen that opens will have the box ip on the top most line.

If you are getting nothing at all then you will need dreamup, no other way around it. Its pretty easy to use if you have a null modem cable. Theres a guide below.

I have also lost my image, although i selected the "Reset Factory Settings", and since then my box doesnt seem to boot up, or do anything.

Any suggestions?

if you cant get anything on screen you need null cable and dreamup as said by jaffa
