    Ubuntu Linux

Im using Ubuntu Linux with Firefox as my browser. I know there isnt a plugin for the VLC program so i cant watch the channels on my laptop.
Does anyone know of any other browser that will have a plugin that will work while im using Linux..

I don't know the answer to this but you could try Safari or Opera.

      Cheers Devilfish,

I thought i would ask first as there are quite a few browsers i could use, but i think i`m just going to have to go through them and see which one works.

I'm quite happily accessing my dreambox directly using VLC.

I'm using the PLI image myself as the VLC streaming seemed to be much more stable, but that might be my network conditions rather than anything to do with a rom

Basically open vlc anc connect to

              OpenDNS

Meantime open up firefox and open the web interface to the dreambox and you can change channels and vlc adjusts (although it crashes out from time to time and just needs restarted).

I did have a restream solution which meant I had a linux server connecting to the stream, it then transcoded it on the fly which meant I could watch at more compressed streams and lower resolution which was good for crap network speeds or access from tinterweb. Unfortunately, it looks like vlc 0.9.x has buggered that up though.
