error while flashing dreambox 500c

hi i have tried flashing my dreambox 500c with DreamUP v1.3.3.7 and DreamUP v1.3.3.6 which errors out after about 20 seconds then tried DreamUP v1.3.2.1 which goes through but errors out when the progress bar is almost to the end. can any one help me with this please? i am using win 7 ultimate x86. no matter what img i use it errors out.

Dreamup 3. 3.1.4 you need not latest version, its more for 800 use older version good luck

i use to have the same problem. It flash halfway and abort by itself. So what I did was, i connect the null cable and the ethernet cable. When I open dreamup, i check the use network box. Then i flash with no issues. Hope it helps

i did try but i dont know how to connect both ethernet cable and null together.

ethernet cable goes in ethernet port on dm and to your router.
null cable goes in dm and pc...

Am from SG, I need to connect 500c via null cable, anywhere to get the null cable? I bought the rs 232 usb serial port but I think its not working, any advice?

but what if dreamup is die... can still use ethernet cable to rounter??

i got try to use ethernet cable pc to dm, it give me an default ip but dreamup cant auth it.

ethernet cable goes in ethernet port on dm and to your router.
null cable goes in dm and pc...

ask for "null modem" tht is cross configured RX/TX and thats what is required. A standard RS232 cable will be straight through.
