DM500 Signal strength using 3way splitter

Im thinking about using a 3way splitter and wondered if this would effect my signal strength and if so would i need a signal booster?

unless you have a swires meter to check levels, the only way you will know is by trying, but you should be fine, i have installed 3 boxes and a modem in 1 property and the signals were fine

        booster - splitter

I've been using a signal booster (got it from maplins) and for a while it was great. After a couple of months I got a lot of problems with stuttering and breakup and it took me a long time to work out that I needed to turn the booster DOWN. If enough people complain about poor signal off the same street box they turn up the signal and it takes it to the level where the signal gets "clipped". in short its not entirely "set and forget" on the booster strength.
