how i got my dm500 working

the last few days has been a nightmare for me trying to get the box to work(new keys wouldnt work)
i tried something different today and i now have it working for the time being
heres what i done
im using digitalworldz 2.0
went into expert setup and done factory reset
reset the clock to the correct region
saved
done a rescan
made sure i had the correct keys in
rebooted evocam

everything now works
seems after i installed v2.0 i should have done a factory reset, i wasnt getting the on screen display that im getting now on my box
menus easier to navagate
ive also disabled auto update

You should only need to update the keys really via FTP or TuxBox Commander.

Glad you got it sorted though m8 and thanks for posting as it may help others not getting the menu's your talking about

Just for clarification, so that other members don't get confused, it's a 'factory reset' not a system restore, but I know what you meant! But others might not!

yeah it was factory reset (post edited above)
if anyone gets to the keys file and theres no keys in there which is what happened to me i left it on a premium channel for a few mins and went back and there were 2 keys in there, only had to change 1 key from the 00 line

just done 3 boxes and all working fine for the minute
