    Scanning for Setanta

    Hi all,

Any help is much, much appreciated.

I have lost setanta - not the end of the world, but I would like it back. Now I have done a powerscan on my sister's eurovox and got it back for her.

Then I wrote down the frequency (386) and did a manual scan on my dm500c thinking it would pick it up and it didn't!

I have tried the automatic scan for my area (stafford), cableuk6887 and bruteforce scan - none of them pick up the setanta channels, but i have everything else (I think)

Please help, i have no ideas left!

    Thanks, tom

they are hidden in the bics channels, when you have found them (depending which area you live in they can be found after bics 10) highlight the channel on list press menu and rename press ok and satanta are back.

I only have bics 1- 10, which i think is the root of my problem.

I knw the frequency and i know what they should be called, it just seems the box won't pick them, i get every other channel.

did a fresh reload on my dm600 today, and had the same issues, no Satanta

however, read on here about BICS, when I looked at those, they were actually channels, some of which were Setanta... AND..... when I started to rename one of them, I found that when I went back to 'all scanned channels' a couple of times, it actually renamed them all itself...

so possibly, go to your 'all scanned channels' a couple of times, or leave the 'all scanned channels' page up for 10 - 20 seconds, and see if it renames them from BICS to actual channel names....

            cool....

                No Setanta scotland area

                Hi,

Im pretty much in the same boat as alot of other people in that I cant find Setanta, this is after trying everything on other posts. The BICS channels I have, have no EPG, I've went through every other EPG and even radio channels an still nothing. Pretty much everybody I know in my area is in the same boat, Boozers will be lovin it right enough, they,ll be packed for the celtic vs hibs game!....has anybody got a fix for this or is this a scottish area thing and they are gone for good?

                Any help appreciated.

PS. Big thanks to Mubz for his help when the boxes went down, and I,ll get back to you when i get round to the bouquets.

i think if you have bics 11-14 you are sorted - these are the setanta channels.

if you don't have tehse and can't pick them up on a scan, like me, you are stuffed!

Is there any chance of the targeted area/net id scans, on dk1.1, being modified to pick them up?

thanks, but is that not just bics 1-10 (which i have on 362.250)?
its bics 11-20 which have setanta.

do you have setanta working? if so which frequency?

I have all other channels if you need a services file or any other freqs.

No I do not have any of the Setanta channels working. I am looking for a solution just like you. I only have bics 3 - 10 . I guess that 1 & 2 are taken up with UK Style and UK Food. I cannot view any of my BICS channels nor get any epg. I am looking to update to the latest version of mgcamd as soon as I can find a link. My image is UK05. It seems that quite a few people have the same problem in our surronding area.
