    Get Setanta back sports fans

This was found elsewhere so I cant take the credit for it, but, it just worked for me (Scotland area) and im using a DM500

Do a manual scan using the following guide:

    Menu

    Setup

    Manual Transponder Scan

Frequency will be set for whatever channel you was watching,so you will need to change this to your area (see below)

Change the Symbol Rate to your own as well

    Tick The inv:

    Also Tick The Network Search

    Start Scan
    ************************************************** ******

    To find the default frequency

Goto All Services list (OK RED) and look for channel FLASH/FLASH SERVICE or DTV SERVICE

this will give you your default frequency 00*** whatever yours is

Select the channel then go to Menu
    Information
    Stream Info
    Scroll Right
    scroll Right

As I say it worked for me so best of luck.

PS if you cant find those channels you can also use DL PVR Explorer 8300 GO

thanks I managed to get setanta working in the end, my 600pvr picks it up so it was just a matter of noting the frequency and scanning it manually on the 500c.
So it seems that the certain images might not tune to the range needed to pick up the frequencies thats why some are not getting Setanta. If you can find out what the frequency is for your area you should be manually able to tune it in

Thanks for that, but I am a little bit confused. My auto scan picked the frequency for DL PVR from the list of frequencies in cables.xml and found some other 24 tv channels. I did a manually scan this frequency and found the same 24 odd tv channels. In your case does your image find more channels on a manual scan than it does on an auto scan of the same frequency? Or have I just missed the point completely?

Didn't work for me but thanks anyhow. It seems that if you know the transponder frequency you can get your Setanta channels back with a manual scan. Now if I only knew someone with a legit box subbed to Setanta...

How would you check the frequency on a legit box?
