DM 800 playing up with satconfig settings

I have a DM800 and I recently installed a motorised dish. I checked the forum about setting up and I did all that was suggested however, the problem is when I set the tuner to USALS I receive only 28.2 degrees east channels. but the satfinder locks 3 out of 4 satellites that I want to watch .When I scan the other sats it finds only few channels.
On the otherhand, when I change the tuner from USALS to Advanced I don't get 28 deg channels at all but I receive 19 deg and some 0.8 deg(Thor) channels. I do get message like, No data on Transponder Timeout reading PAT.
Could someone please show me what I need to do to get it right?
