Do a bruteforce for UK and "no" for fast scan.

Were the boxes both working before you flashed? The likelihood of both going down is pretty small.
Plug one box directly into the line with no splitter and do a full scan. Don't do bruteforce, try each code separately.
Do you have any services with the cable company? If not then maybe they've disconnected your line?

edit: ok when you ftp the services and bouquets over go to any channel and check your signal strength.

i no that both boxes are perfect because i have a backup service file that i keep sending to my box's
i've just tried changing the set my location with some strange results
theres about 4 birmingham locations mine is telewest its the first one i changed the scanning options to 1 transponder it started scanning
it found 160 tv channels i no from experience that that amount is incorrect
          it should be around 300
i changed the set my location to the next few birmingham locations whilst some didnt scan at all one scanned and found around 300 tv channels
i thought great but when i edit the bouquets the channel will not display i think its because the service file is incorrect

          any ideas

flash your box with the latest lincsat image. i'm not too far from birms and it worked fine for me.
there was no need for a services.xml file.

                Location

I updated to the new laky from the downloads section, all channels working.

I updated my location and I lost alot of channels, even after rescanning.

I reflashed and didnt set my location, everything is still working fine 4 me.

just to clarify i've had my dboxs for about 3 years now flashed plenty of images in my time and updated keys and roms so i'm not a novice there seems to be a fair few people having the same problems

I'm a bit of a novice with this stuff but I had the same problem.

I first used the image here but it has no files in the var/keys folder - so they don't get into trouble.

I got the laky image from the chatterbox toolbar that has all the files in the var/keys folder and all I had to do then was flash the image, set my location, scan for channels then update the rom7 file.

Not sure if I'm helping here. Don't want to patronise anybody.

listen pal your a novice you said that not me what i can tell you is your a asset to this site if more people where to have a go at sorting other peoples problems out it would be a better place fair play

i havent got that sort of problem though i can recieve all channels i've done the rom 7 update and changed the keys no probs but virginmedia change the channels now and again so would be usefull to be able to scan as the old service i have is getting old its a good job i have a backup hope this explains a little better

Cool mate it seems a bit more complicated than I thought. I've only got a basic grasp it all. All the folk on here helped me out so want to try and help out if I can. Good luck sorting it all out.
