I live at least 50miles away from my mother who has a Sagem x1 Dbox2
Bless her, she is getting on a bit, and seems to have lost a little confidence along the way, so having a 40minute conversation and telling her to press keys just doesnt work!


Her box lost the channels around a month ago. She is running the
'Blade image' by xenafan :]

I know she needs to input the new keys, but not having a dbox with me, its hard to tell her step by step of what buttons to press.

Is there a video or can anyone sitting in front of a dbox tell me the quickest, and, most hassle free way, to edit the keys setup on the blade imaged dbox2?

Bestthing to do is ftp the new rom7 across to dbox and then you wont have to keep updating the keys.>>>>>RapidShare: Easy Filehosting

Or if you reall y want to change keys manually this what you do>>>
Press blue button then goto Tuxbox commander and enter then scroll down to keys and enter, scroll down to keylist.txt and press 4 to edit. you need to edit the top 2 lines OO & O1

thanks mini thats just the info. I was after. it will make it nice and quick when I am there tomorrow
its just I go round her house now and again but dont own a dbox as I moved to a SlY area
plus I have a laptop ... and know from when I had a pc it takes a load to set up for flashing etc.

come to think of it has anyone flashed a dbox using a lappie?

just ftp the file in the top link it only takes a few minutes. its alot easier with a cross over patch cable. you can use a normal cable as long as you connect through a router. If using a router just make sure all firewalls and anti-viruses are off because they tend cause problems when trying to connect with the box. you can find a tutorial on here on how to ftp or if you really get stcuk you add another post and someone will help.....
