never really used commando images, but when i tried it a while back i found the sound. IIRC i think it was called gun.mp3 dunno where it was though, might be best just to have a browse through the folders for it.

i imagine if your new sound was the same format and has the same name and you was to overwrite the old one then it would probably just work?

sorry, never tried it, and i know its just a bunch of assumptions, im sure someone will have better advice!

Could you keep us updated m8? I used to have that image and always wondered if it was possible, it'd be interesting to find out if it is, and how you managed to change it

            Nice boot up...

The best advice I can give is to ask in the C10 thread, that way the right people will see it, they want your feedback and are always helpful. This is not a criticism, only a suggestion.

to change in commando 9.25 (squashfs) would need a root export,

                in Commando 10

                /var/tuxbox/boot/gun.mp3 is easily changed

                or even turned off via

ahh in that case i think it's to do with the image format... something about jffs and squashfs. ones more compressed and not easily writable (except for the var folder).

but i'll let you read up on that!

edit: FFS i'm well too slow with these replies!
