no sly 1

hmmmm im having trouble locating sly 1, i all the others, i have reflashed, i have used other images and scanned to no avail, can anyone help me, is there a way of manually putting this channel on, or do i have to do without it forever.

Look in the download section for a services xml for your area that has been updated with the s*y channels then your problem will be solved

thanks for the advice, but looking on the downloads, the nearest place is either Bradford, Leeds or Huddersfield. Do you think any of these will work in Barnlsey.

huddersfield is tha same as bradford.....but not barnsley unfortunately - tried a slow scan?

sure it's not hiding somewhere? i usually go into my std bouquet in bouquet editor press green and then scroll through what i got.....post ur service file i'll see if any of the frequencies match mine

sorry moderngirl trawled thru the service files i have and no match....see there's a couple of moved channels in ur service file....have u rescanned recently.....may be worth leaving Sections Scan on to see if it comes in...

have ypu flicked thru all the channels may be hidden under a test channel

all u can hope is some kind soul from ur area posts a complete service file

okay, im still stumped.

Managed to get a service file from someone who lives 5 minutes from me, they get sly one, only thing is, when i view there box at our house, sly one has a black screen.

could the signal be different if they havent got virgin tv? all they have is broadband, but we have got tv and broadband!

it could well be a signal strength issue at yours if you have a splitter remove it and connect direct to the feed with the working box, see what happens then.

i did that lastnite, and the black screen is still there for sly 1, any other suggestions?

plug your box in at their house and see if your sly 1 clears, if that happens it points to a signal strength problem maybe you need a booster at your house. check the SIG SNR and BER levels at both houses and see if they compare

SETANTA BER 10 SNR 61000 SIG 41377
SKY 2 BER 0-50 SNR 61000 SIG 41377
SKY 1 BER 10 SNR between 44000 and 48000 SIG 41377

These are the signals from my house, i will have to check friends house.
