bad flash, got same on Monday with a mates Nokia box

knew something wasnt right when I transferred image over via FTP took 4 minutes where as normally it should only take 10 seconds

IFA xover cable and null model cable did the job for me.

Dont have wireless and have changed the network settings in order to connect to the dbox. I'm working from a laptop. I have done this before using the same equipment and no problems but not working this time

I dony have another pc i can try. I dont think its the cable it all went wrong when i tried to flash a new image this morning using ftp. It never came on screen saying it was successful and never done an automatic reboot. Since then nothing from the box

i had the same issue yesterday with commando 10 - bad flash - and i've always been able to connect with ifa first time but yesterday took me 4x??

you could try rebooting in safe-mode with network....with av firewall and windows firewall switched off and retry

you must have a m8 who has a pc where you can try it. might be a problem with your usb serial adaptor as these are known to be a bit hit and miss

same deal, my dbox2 will not boot up, on front panel just says loading kernel

basically im a noob and curiosity killed me....

i was messing around trying to get my channels working again after a unsuccessful key update, i decided to try my friends keylist.txt

didnt work, so i thought i know, ill just delete the folder that it's in and replace it with my friends folder as we have the same dbox......i deleted my vars folder, now knowing it was quite a stupid move...because i lost my ftp connection straight away and now my dbox will not boot.

i have tried IFA 3.2.1 with a ethernet crossover cable i made, but so far to no avail.

i do not have a null modem cable at the moment, do i need this to get it flashed and working again?

                                any help would be appreciated

                                thanks in advanced

                                peace +DjK+
