hello,i have just spent the last couple of hours trying to ftp the nag 7 fix to my dbox 2,i have set the ip addy in the box and on my laptop as it says in the how to ftp guides but for some reason it aint happening,i have tried and tried and tried and tried and now im about to throw either one out the window,,i need some fresh thinking please

i have disabled my avg i dont use xp firewall anyway,i have set the dbox addy to 1 greater than my laptop

i cant remember,i got it back in june when my box was not working,i was guided step by step on how to flash the box on this forum,im pretty sure i was told to get a xover cable back then and im using the same one now,is there anyway i can tell whether its straight through or xover ?The control of information is the consolidation of power

What image are you using?
Just say your dbox addy is 192.168.0.24
Then set your pc to 192.168.0.23
sub net 255.255.255.0
Username root
password dbox or dbox2
If using a commando image the password will be commando.
If this does not work turn your pc and dbox off unplug xover cable then turn back on when booted up plug cable back in then try againComment
