    try this

first of all you will need a crossover cable, the i use an ifa programme which i am sure you could find on here, then have a look the downloads section to see what image you need and transfer across, then you will have to ftp the keys across to get everything, but do your reading and you will be alright, its really quite simple, its all here

      Same problem

I've dusted of my old sagem dbox2 and pretty much spent the whole of yesterday on this forum trying to find the fix to my problem, it all went wrong when i was trying to get streaming working on my local network.

now when i power up i get the debug screen on the lcd, then boots to a picture of lara croft! then turns it self off! I can boot up using the up arrow to buy more time but the remote dosent function (changed batteries)

does anyone how i go about finding the ip address of my dbox?

I've got the crossover cable but IFA just seems to hang, I've left it running for at least an hour an time.

      any help welcome . . .

any recommendations for a new box, starview eurovox another dbox? etc?

Hi mate, I have done a bit with most boxes and find eurovox by far the easiest to configure set up maintain etc, they are fool proof, not got as much fancy stuff as the dbox and dream boxes, but as long as they are easy to keep running and you got all your stations who cares, ?that?s my motto ant way? I got the 500pvr at the mo with hard drive, but I would not recommend it as you can only watch what you are recording, so I would just simply go with the 1000sl, it?s a nice slim line version and you can get them as low as ?75 on e### hope this helps.
