They are just different types of EMU.

All EMU are mainly used in satellite systems and on cardsharing servers.

But when it comes to UK cable and a dbox2, evocamd is usually the preferred emu as it seems to work best. Gbox and Newcamd are tricky to get working and mgcamd freezes quite a lot so go for evocamd if you have it.

No. The EMU's job is to decrypt the channel, i.e. giving you pay channels for free.

If you do not actually have a channel, i.e. you have scanned and scanned and scanned but you just can't pick up that channel, then it's a signal problem, usually weak because you have split the feed a few times. Try disconnecting all the coax and reconnect making sure it's tight....and try scanning again.

If you have an EMU problem, all premium channels will be blank, not just one channel. If you have the channel and it's blank but all other channels are working ok, it could still be a signal problem or the channel could have moved frequency and you will need to rescan to get it back.

Youve already got it mate
If you are only missing a couple of channels
Try your box direct to the wall
Or a signal booster
Try a slow scan First .......................Paul

OKAY, ive done loads scans, un-hooked everything, so my dbox is the only thng connected to cable, done scan, still only getting a total of 292 channels....234 TVchannels...

any ideas?

If you have a bouquet with all the channels on then ftp that to your image it goes in var/tuxbox/config/zapit then go into services and press on reload channels after you have flp the files
