hi can u tell me, i nedd default gataway for dbox2 and the computer. or do i put the m zeroz

The default gateway is the I.P. of your router( if you use one). This is usually something like 192.168.0.1.
If you dont use a router its the I.P of your computer. Hope this helps out.

To find your ip address on your computer open the command box by-
Vista: in the start menu type 'cmd' in the search box and hit enter.
XP: type cmd in the 'run' box in the start menu.

In the command box type 'ipconfig/all' and hit enter. This will give you information on your current network settings where you'll find your IP address etc. Hope it helps!

If you're connecting your Dbox to your PC directly with an ethernet cable, you set the default gateway on the Dbox as your PCs address which you find as I described above. Also, take note of the IP address of the dbox itself.
Then open a windows explorer window and type in
ftp://root:[email protected]
,where the the digits are your dbox's IP address (mine is shown above). This should get you access to your dbox directory!
