    Stream to PC

Anyone know what is the best way to stream and view the Dbox on PC. I havent ever done this before, but siddenly this has become something which is will find useful. Is it possible through Web or would i need some other software. I did get this working once a few years back but cant even remember which software i was using. Now using commando 10c.

Install VLC mate, preferably an older version such as 0.8.4. Once installed go into the option and select Add Interface, add the Web Interface.

Then open the Dbox2's Web Interfece by typing it's IP address into your browsers address bar, enter your username and password, this will show you the complete Dbox2 interface.

click on either Web-X-TV or the VLC buttons to start streaming.

There is a more precise tutorial on the forums, have a look in the Stickies.

      try FISCstream.....works like a charm.

as above it best to open the tv guide in explorer first, then click on FISC...the stations should then load in the FISC tv guide....

i found this software to work best over wireless...cant fault it. (made by Nokia!)

Many Thanks for the replies. Couple of questions

        1. With FISCstream what port is needed for http?

        2. With yWeb, it is not asking me for a username and password on connecting?

        3. Is there any special uCode i need to use or do i need to use spts mode?

You can also use a program called DBoxTV. I currently use this with windows XP and Vista. It works flawlessly for me but others have encountered problems using it. You can find it in the following link........

Digital Kaos - Downloads - DboxTV 2.0.1.1, setup and recording guides

Thanks STU. This did give me video, but no audio. Also when i started to play about with it and change channels the dbox just locked up and i had to reboot. And a few times it changed channel, started caching then said "no stream", so its not perfect but its something for me to work on.

Seems that a few people have had the same problem you have encountered mate. Its really weird as i have had absolutely no problems with it at all using both xp and vista. I hope ya manage to get it working the way it should as it is a very good program, you have full control of the dbox with it.
