hi mate you need to use the remote on the box with the image you want to back up then press dbox button then service, then image flash / backup. (from memory!!! not near the box at then min!!) when you execute the back up the image should be saved to the var/temp directory, but only until you power down the box so leave it on and ftp the image from the box onto your pc. then you can put it on the other box with either ftp or IFA no problem. -
it should be there mate that file name sounds correct from memory so it sounds like it is backing up the image to the box. ensure you do not turn the box off between backing up the image and connecting with ftp. also maybe the ftp programme you're using may not be searching for all file types, just a thought. sounds like you're half way there though!!Comment

mate that is exactly where the mtp.img file should be, this is a step by step guide
1. Once you have the image the way you want it you can transfer it to you PC
2. Press dbox on your remote
3. Hi-lite service menu press ok
4. Hi-lite image update/backup/restore press ok
5. Hi-lite flashread/write
6. Hi-lite Read one partion (backup) Important
7. Hi-lite Flash without bootloader Important
8. The image will now be in the /tmp folder called mtd with a number after it IE:mtd4 9. Start FlashFXP and go to the /tmp folder right click on the image and pick transfer
10. Remember it defaults to /var/ so go up a folder to find the /tmp folder
