Better picture ?

Ive just purchased a 42" LCD TV.

Ive got it hooked upto my Dbox2 - The picture is abit rubbish mainly because there is not HD feed.

Does anybody know of a way of boosting the picture quality ?

How are you connecting m8 , with a scart lead ? I think gold plated ones are better. Make sure you go into tv settings and have a play about with the contrast colour etc.

Try different images. I know someone who swears by the Blade image, saying it was much better picture quality than his previous image...

Yer i'm just using standard scart leads.

Do signal booster work - or are they for when the pic is really bad?

If i was to get the HD version of Eurovox would i have to upgrade to HD from Telewest of is it the box that converts the signal to HD ?

There is only one (maybe even two) HD channels on cable so far. So no real point.

What image you using have a 40" on a dbox and all fine !!

I've got a 50" plasma running on dbox and scart lead and the picture is excellent m8.

I'm using the Laky image.

The pic is ok - could be better.

Might get better once i upgrade to Eurovox EX5000 PVR

I'm using Sylas. Mess around with the settings on your tv m8 as i said earlier . I had a Panasonic 42" and the picture wasn't quite right, i messed with the settings adjusting this and that and got it right in the end. Try playing a dvd and that will tell you if oits the tv or the dbox thats not right.

I think every dbox is different mines about 4 years old straight from the mother land Germany and has been wrapped in cotton wool all its life, but been through about 15 remotes !! make that 16

dont throw remotes away take it apart and clean behind the bulb on the solder to refresh use fine sandpaper or better still redo with solder gun just heat until melts to refresh bingo keep your money other than that apparently the silver ones in poundland work on dboxes....micky

The thing is I usally give them to my 2 young kids to play with !!! Gutted but im sure I can dig a few out.

Have you use the poundland one ??

It has to be better than the Dbox one
