Completly Baffled

Hi all Ive just been given an old dbox and havent a clue how to flash it, scan for channels,or if its broken. Iknow how to flash a eurovox but this ones got me beat.I did read up about them and got as far as downloading the flash assisstant connected a crossover cable
and tried flashing an image.All I want is for the box to be updated with all the channels working.
CAN ANYONE HELP.

The network card you are using in the PC needs to have a static ip address, i.e. 192.168.1.100.

Start IFA.
Select the image file at the top.
If you have a null modem cable connect (recommended) select com1 in the settings. If you don't have a cable connect, set it to none or disable or whatever makes sense.

Press OK or start, keep selecting OK until the window minimizes to the bottom left of the screen.

Turn the dbox2 on. It should say 'Flashing' on the lcd display.

If it boots up as normal, press the UP ARROWN and STANDBY buttons in together on the front of the box, this will reboot the box. Keep doing this until you see the flashing screen.

Use both a null modem cable and ethernet cable if you have them.
