    Nokia Dbox2 betanova 2.01 OS

    Hi
    I am Newbie here.
I have bought Nokia Dbox2 with Betanova 2.01 OS and I dont know is it Intel or AMD and the info is below

Processor Motorola PPC 823 66 Mhz
Capacity 8MB Flash 32 MB SDRAM
    OS Betanova 2.01 Betaresearch 2002 rel,1.0.6.2
    Batacrypt
    it starts with 017a10081320008 not 01DD 10 081 1616 08

My question is. Does nokia dbox2 in debug mode or not, if not is it possible to change it to debug mode. any advice is appreciated.
    thnx

I have followed the instruction but I could not put in debug mode. they ask to connect to GND and I dont know where to find GND to connect. Do anyone have any idea what to do. as it is useless without debug mode. thanks in advance.

by GND it means ground to the case it think. When i deugged a nokia i wrapped one end of wire round a screw and screwed it in to hole for the securing to top panel you have taken off. the other end of wire i taped to a small jewellers screwdriver and use the flash reset point on the hole no8 on the underside of the casing. found it much easier this way http://www.dietmar-h.net/img/nokia_boden.jpg

                    GND connections?

Hi it seems you don't understand what ground means and I must warn you as a TV engineer there are high voltages in the box when connected to the mains so read up what you have to do very carefully and do not touch any thing on the primaru side as that hurts! Any metal connectipn will do I use the tuner body and then shoet the pin out using a piece of wire to the pin

I just use the metal casing when debugging.

Some people use the tuner casingbut there have been reports that it can blow a resistor inside the tuner.

I have followed the instruction step by step but nothing happen. when I typed icache then enter it shows icache is on
then nothing happen to the rest it shows like that
                        chorus800000
                        cp010000000010000001000
                        nm01000944
                        0000000
                        protoff1:0
                        cp01000000100000001000
                        go10000100
so are these steps correct? and where is wrong?
                        and I need your help.
                        thanks

You have to type it exactly like the guide says
                          chorus 800000
you are typing chorus800000 which is wrong there is a space between the s and 8 and spaces in the other commands
