Bad Box or bad flashing?? Dbox2

Hey having trouble flashing my DBOX2 with The flash assistant.

Firstly it hasnt been working properly for a while now - wouldnt accept an internal flash, I could only flash it using the flash assistant and then only the Andromeda image would work. Now nothing is working and the logflie I keep getting is . . .

    Un-protected 63 sectors
    ##Booting image at 000100000 ...
    image name: Dbox2
image type: PowerPC Linux Kernal image (gzip compressed)
    data size: 626984 bytes = 612.3 kB
    load address: 00000000
    entry point: 00000000
verifying checksum . . . Bad Data CRC
    =>

Any ideas?? Ive used two different versions of the image flash assistant with the same result.

    Thanks in advance

Make sure that the image you?re flashing is compatible with your Dbox as ?moin? said above as there are 2 types of images (x1 image or x2image).
Use (IFA) Image Flashing Assistant, null modem cable is very helpful it does allow you to see the flashing process activities while you are flashing the image to the dbox.
Setup your Local Area Network connection and use crossover cable that will help you to FTP needed stuff to your dbox to make it working.

During the flashing process make sure that your firewall is turned off other ways you will not be able to flash the image successfully.
      Gooood Luck.

        Cheers lads,

Yeah I had already done the above. I have a 2 chip dbox2 and I am using a 2x image. Sorry I should have said that I am using the flash assistant in conjuction with A null modem cable and ethernet cable. Any other ideas??

Previously when I flashed with the assistant the whole image would transfer but only approx 88% would be verified. Is the box busted??
