    no router?

u need to use xover to connect between box and pc

u need to alter the network settings on the pc to ipv4 not 6

find out the ip addy of ur pc and change the dbox ip addy to an addy 1 below ur pc...start/restart connection and test network see if u can ping the pc

If you cannot find your pc ip then you can use the box one
To find box ip press dbox button then go to settings press on that then go to network you will find your box ip in there.Write it down then go to your network connections on your pc right click then go to properties left click then scroll down to Internet protocol ipv4 then press on it then press properties then tick on use own ip then input your box ip but 1 number high.
                EG : box ip 192.168.0.2
                pc ip 192.168.0.3
What ftp program are you useing?

                  Find you Dbox IP

                  Menu
                  Settings
                  Network
                  Scroll to IP address.

                  Note the address ie. 192.168.254.200

Now find you LAN on you computer
                  Start
Connect To Or Connect All Connections

Right Click on the LAN (Local Area Network)and click on properties, scroll down to/highlight Internet Protacol (TCP/IP) then click on properties.

In the box that opens click on use the following IP and enter the same address as your Dbox with the exception of the last digits which should be one less. ie. if the address on your box is the one above you would enter 192.168.254.199 the subnet should self complete with 255.255.255.0

In the lower section enter the DNS the sma as you enetered above 192.168.254.199 Leave the last box empty. Click ok then ok on the next box. Make sure you LAN says enabled.

Using your ethernet connection on your computer connect to the dbox.

That should give you the correct settings to Flash/FTP or connect using your browser.

WELL GUYS! Thes next bit please! I have now got it so it has scaned and found all the channels, and when it stops scanning it goes to bbc 1 that i can see and watch. when i scroll up the chaannels to view others the picture stops and says waiting for epg, or error channel not available, the signal bar shows that its a good signal as 3/4 full, also i ahve set my area location to nottingham as this is the closest i can find to Grimsby! Is there any thing else i need to look for or do, When i re boot the box ( off at the power at the wall and back on again) the same thing happens? Help please as its doing my head in and iam a novice!!!!
