New D box problems!

well i think i have realy done it this time!m Tried to start again to ensure i ahd doen all correctly! So put sporster back on with flash assistant, and then went to put comanndo on and guess what can not get it to connect at all now! I think the box needs to go through the window! I so do hope newbies have this much fun! Sorry Guys!!!! Is there any one local to grimsby that can help me! I learn far better through watching if some one could show me how to repair sort fettel fix this dbox i would well happy! Also a big thanks to the guys who have realy tried to help me! I think i must be a div or have a box that needs some attention!

Did you change the ip address? And did you change the password as you need to use commando as the password on the commando image and dbox on sportster

YES I HAVE CHECKED THE IP ADDRESS AND I HAVE PING IT, I WAS TRYING TO USE IMAGE FLASHER BUT IT WILL NOT HAVE IT, IT SAYS IN THE TOP, ERROR DELETELPNET ENTRY87 THEN,
IT SAYS GIVE UP ON BOOTP/TFTP BOOTNET FAILED

I DO THINK I SHIULD JUST SELL THE BOX AT THE MOMENT AS IT IS DRIVING ME MAD! HA, Do othere newbies have this much trouble? or is it just me??

Why are you useing FIA why not use flashfxp it is a lot easer to use. Yes m8 a lot of newbies have the same problem.

I can connect through the file zella programme but do not know how to flash a new image with this! I think i need to look at the downloads section and read up!

All you need to do is transfer the image to var/tmp
Then press the dbox button
go to service
image up grade/backup
flash one partition
flash without bootloader
hi lite image then press ok
when the image has flashed press the red button then the box will reboot
Flash the image i sent you has it has all the files included all you need to do is set your location then scan

Just one problem, when i have transfered the image using flashtxp to the var/tmp folder then swithed off the flash txp.i go to the dbox thats where the problme is, see not in number 8! What do i need to do to see the image, or is it not in the correct file? Iam trying to put commando back in as i have sportser image on at the moment!

4. Hi-lite image update/backup/restore press ok
5. Hi-lite flashread/write

6. Hi-lite

write one partition (restore) Important
7. Hi-lite flash without boot loader Important

8. Hi-lite the image and press ok (there is no image shown it just says cancel)
9. Hi-lite yes or press the red button

10. It will first erase the existing image then flash the new image

IM NEARLY THERE

I am aware that iam am nearly there as i have all the channels loaded but just can not view them, I have the normal tv channels and i can see them with out freezing! HA!! Things are looking up!!! I have learnt loads alrady! You will be fine, get your self a cross over andf a null modem cable. maplins do them but yoiu can get them cheaper iam sure! Good look, keep me posted with you luck and if i can help you i will, i know how hard it can be and feel!

Well i can see the normal tv channels now and on the otheres there is good signal, but no picture, and it dose not say not avalible any more so i must be getting there? Just need to know what to fix to get the pictures up! may have a look outside to see if there is a splitter in the main box that could be causing the problem?

Have you put the commando image on that i sent you?
If so then all you need to do is press the blue button then press on softcam menu then on camd reset then reboot box then put on s#y sports 1 untill it clears should take 5mins.

The one above that i have underlined is the wrong on it should be FLASH ONE PARTITION not Write one partition as this one is to back up your image.

Yes iam getting in now after a sleep or two, I have completed all you have said and i can see all ther normal tv channels, i have not got any channel error messages but as yet can not see the s*y sports 1 channel! I am going to check if ther is a splitter at the front of the house as it comes in! I ready do thanks you for your help and persistance !!!

There was a splitter for tv and internet, i have removed this and put it stright on to the tv, still no change! Its as if the code is not unlocking the picstures??? Any idea?

I now have the box up and working, i still have a search for knowlegde tho! It was a case off the keys and the cam was not installed correctly!. So to any newbies out there good luck and keep working at it!

Are you getting all available channels i.e adult, sports, music, movies, etc?
