all the gear but no idea help req.

    hi folks
    my problems are :
never done this before.. like a virgin remember them ?

i have two boxes 1 down stair working on andromeda like a treat
2nd box in the bedroom running on sportster pro this is the one iam having trouble with...
it freezes after a few mins and chirps like a budgie channels not in order and so on...
i got a usb to null female cable 9 pin thing, yip it fits ok...
ethernet crossover cable. it fits too

now the ethernet cbl i take that from my modem / pc and connect it to pc/ box ? is that right ? so i dont have internet at the same time ?

tried using flashFXP and getting as far as the evaluation quad box and i cannot get the info into the top right dropdown box where the var/tuxbox/plugins/ go
its just empty and wont take any text

then i gave the hyper terminal a go and after com1 properties box
the big window with flashing cursor is empty with no dbox:root>
thats as far as i have been?

somebody said i could transfer the image from my good box via the pc to the other one. maybe so. but i would still like to learn from the start, not just for today, but for when things go belly up.
so i can practice on one. with the other working well . till i get the knack of this.

where do i go from here ?
if you could take the time to get back to me i would much appreciate it..
iam in glasgow and if it helps have skype & webcam to see things if required

    kind regards
    wee willy

The answer to your questions are in the download section.
Try the dBox guide etc and IFA its all there and will guide you through it.
You need to make sure you setup your network up correctly but for flashing once you have done that you can connect with the cross over cable directly into you PC network card and flash with IFA.
