    missing a step! D-BOX 2

    Please bear with me....
I was previously able to manually put the new keys into my D-Box.(Last time I did it was before Christmas). Now, when I follow the wonderful instructions with pics, posted by a very helpful member, I cannot get the tuxbox commander screen to appear.
Do I press the blue button first....or do I need to go into Service or something else first?
Either way, I do not get the screen that is supposed to appear.
'You should now see a screen called tuxbox commander'.....er,no.
    Have I forgotten something??
Please just talk me through this first step - I think I know what to do once I get to the var-keys bit.
    Thank you.

select a new channel, (anyone) and you should have a features option (blue button) on the bottom of your screen

Press the blue button then you will have a choice for tuxbox commander.

This will be my first reply so bare with me.

As far as the sportster and blade quad images, the proceedure is usually blue button and go into tuxbox commander. (Option 4 if I remember)

If that is correct you should then be at a screen with file folders on the left and current folder contents on the right.

When you highlight the "keylist" file, on the right side, you need to hit 4 on the remote to edit the file and not just to view it.

Edit what you need and the hit the "home" key on the remote. It will ask you if you want to save changes.

Hit "home" again and this time it will ask you if you want to exit the tuxbox.

Reboot in the menu or unplug the box.

      Hope this helps.

      BTW:

"I've had a good few people I know throw out their box because they either don't auto update, or don't know how to manually put in the keys. Pity on them because they all worked fine out of the trash". .

      Cheers.

I have the Laky Pro image on my D-box 2
When I select a channel and press the blue button, all I get is a Features menu....with system menu at the top. I somehow don't arrive at the tuxbox menu.Something is missing??? Is there another way to get to the tuxbox menu?

Thanks for your replies; hoping i will find out what the heck is going wrong. This is so frustrating, when it worked ok the last time I did it...

Just press the blue button, it might be called file manager or something similar. Why not add the fixed rom 7 and get your box autoupdating?

YES!!! Success! It was in file manager, like you said, Bigman.
Strange thing is, I don't remember having to go in there before.....or maybe I lost it after Christmas,!
As for the Auto Update...haven't got my head round it yet - 'fraid I am a relatively helpless female, struggling somewhat.....
