    to bakup img

    to bac up my im do i need a null modem cable and a crossover cable or jus the x crossover cable. Can i use imagebackup.exe ( GET FLASH IMAGE FROM YOUR DBOX2)

      You only need an ethernet cable.

      DBOX
      SERVICE MENU
      SOFTWARE UPDATE
      EXPERT FUNCTIONS
      READ ONE PARTITION
      FLASH WITHOUT BOOTLOADER

      mtd3.img file will be in the /tmp folder, that is your backup image. Use ftp program to transfer it to your PC.

              No...that's to backup an image.

              READ ONE PARTITION

              You are reading the flash to a file.

              WRITE ONE PARTITION

              Would be writing to the flash, i.e. flashing.
