Have you actually tried downloading any of the dbox guides from the download sectipon and tried to follow them ? Download a guide follow it step by step (because it's a guide ) and if your stuck then ask a question.

do u have an img on the box at the moment?

1st off... unlike me, SAVE your old files, especially the emu files, ie evocamd, mgcamd etc BEFORE you flash a new image. It'll save you hours of heartache. You'll probably need new rom files anyway, depending how old the box is.

im connected to the dbox and downloaded an image named commando and just tryed transfering it onto the box but gets to about 10% and then says failed is it the wrong image am totally lost now

Have you turned firewalls off. The image will transfer to the box regardless of if its the right one or not. It's more likely your firewall is still on.

yes m8 scan set your location and scan for channels , reload channel list.

Loading commando isn't the end. You need to load the other stuff mentioned in the guides to make it do what you want it to do. As I said earlier, save your old files, to re-insert. You can scan and pick up the channels, but you wont be able to view them. Do study the guides, and ask for help here. It worked for me, only just done it, although I studied for about a month, on and off.
