    getting no picture

    Hello everyone,

    i ma in need of your assistance again. i purchased another dbox2, and cannot get a picture from it.

    the problem is; that when the sportster image loads, i can see ON SCREEN on my tv, all the images and variaous digits and what not; thus the scart is working, however once the kernel has fully booted; i get no picture at all.

    i dont know what to do guys; how do i change the settings when i cant see the display on my tv?

    is there anyway i can somehow do it with ap rogram via the crossover cable, as i know the IP from the loading images?

    my first instinct and would be to go gung ho and reflash the bastard with another image.
    This has the benifit of restoring outputs to standard [rgb, cvbs] and it also makes sure that its not a bug in the initial image.

    Other than that you could fire up FTP and browse to /var/tuxbox/config and edit/rewrite the scart.conf
    (im using commando so the locations may differ on a sportster image)

    my bog standard default install scart.conf looks like this:

    im on a sagem 2x box, so again things may differ but i doubt it.
    Ive uploaded my file to see if it makes any difference, just back up your old one before unraring and uploading the new one, that way if it all goes pear shape youve not done any real harm.

      thanks so much for your input buddy! i came just to check up on this; and then found the correct menu; and you were correct, the scart had been changed and thus once restoredto CVBS it worked!

          I think that I once had this pro. Try to flash the box with a serial cable. It takes about 30-45 mins but it always seems to do the trick. If that don?t fix it it?s prolly your box or TV. Also try the RF output or composite ports. If you still don?t get anything then you know it?s a setting on your TV.
